About

Our Moment

Throughout history, from ancient Athens to the Italian renaissance, Golden Ages emerge from a collective awakening to new horizons. In every Golden Age, there is a common thread of successful integrations of seemingly apparent opposites: the individual with the collective, tradition with innovation, local with national, and form with function, representing an underlying shift in how the people of a nation understand themselves and their potential.

America is undergoing its own rebirth, expressing itself at once as a return to first principles and a loss of trust in failed institutions. Simultaneously, we are witnessing an unprecedented convergence of technologies, including AI, robotics, space exploration, biotech, energy solutions, and advanced manufacturing, creating entirely new possibilities for our future.

During such a transformative time, we are confronted with challenges as we rediscover our character, our collective identity, and what it means to be American.

I believe these challenges we face can be linked to a disconnect between technical excellence and a deeper purpose towards something greater than oneself, leading to a fragmentation between knowledge and purpose.

I also believe that building is the sacred act that takes eternal principles and brings them into physical reality. Our cities, our art, our institutions — each carries with it the imprint of the thoughts and desires that shaped them. The created form captures the essence of us through intention.

Consider the difference between a rock, which simply is, and a human, who is with intention.

A rock exists passively, it is shaped by wind, water, and time, but it has no purpose or direction of its own. Humans exist with intention, we can dream and act with purpose, and through building, we can shape the world around us.

Building without a guiding principle makes the created form hollow or even destructive. When desires are purely materialistic or mechanistic, soulless structures emerge leading to concrete wastelands, addictive technologies, and a disposable culture, each with foundations as impermanent as the impulses that created them.

And so when we build something that outlasts generations, we are embodying eternal principles in physical form, which manifest in our lives as a restoration of health, a rejuvenation of our souls, and a flourishing of our nation.

More Signal, Less Noise

I created the Fourthbranch to bridge the physical and the cultural, establishing the link between the hand that builds and the heart that guides.

The BUILDERS page highlights those who are building the physical foundation to secure our future, connecting like-minded craftsmen seeking opportunities to rebuild America’s physical infrastructure in industries such as:

Space Infrastructure

  • Orbital payload platforms
  • Space station habitats
  • In-orbit manufacturing

Advanced Transportation

  • Hypersonic aircraft
  • Electric thrust technologies
  • Autonomous aerospace

Defense Innovation

  • Advanced sensor networks
  • Autonomous platforms
  • Military aerospace

Energy Development

  • Nuclear technologies
  • Synthetic fuel production
  • Clean hydrogen systems

Critical Manufacturing

  • Domestic UAV components
  • Supply chain sovereignty
  • Advanced materials

The GALLERY page hosts a virtual reality museum that provides the cultural ballast to a technological renaissance, revealing a path where technology can serve human flourishing.

Enter through any browser to walk virtually among images and videos that capture why we sacrifice and persist, that remind us why we reach beyond what seems possible, and that reflects our struggle while remaining grounded in the physical world.

Stand witness to America’s collective transformation and experience exhibits that illuminate the patterns of organic growth underlying meaningful creation.

Why It Matters

Our moment is simultaneously one of optimism and one of trepidation.

America’s rebirth can emerge through the building of physical, tangible systems by builders who understand why their work matters and who build things worth inheriting, thus ensuring that what we create reflects our character.

As Michelangelo saw the angel within the marble, within the prima materia lies the seed of something transcendent that’s waiting to be revealed, making our physical world the vehicle for expressing human potential.

By connecting talented builders and creators with the important stories that capture something about this time and give us meaning, we can build a future that’s worth passing down to future generations.

The Fourthbranch are engineers who read philosophy, entrepreneurs who study history, artists who understand technology, and architects who appreciate beauty.

We believe that when we build well, we participate in the ongoing process of creation itself.

Create that which endures.

Create that which you’d be proud to show your grandfather.
